Plai^TM Wifi is a wireless device containing Gyrfalcon’s Lightspeeur® 2801 accelerator chip. The device connects to your smartphone through a companion Android or iOS app called “AI Buddy”. By pairing your phone to the Plai^TM Wifi device, you instantly turn your phone into an AI-enabled phone, providing you access to artificial intelligence capabilities without an internet connection. Through the AI Buddy app, you get to sample, experience and have fun with various AI applications such as dog recognition, flower recognition, image enhancer, and more.

Plai^TM Wifi is available for purchase in the United States.  

Plai^TM Wifi is compatible with most new iOS and Android wifi-capable smartphones.

We recommend Android 6.0 or later for Android phones and iOS 8.0 or later for Apple phones.

The distance can be up to 10 meters indoor, but could vary depending on environment.

Up to 8 smartphones can be paired to one Plai^TM Wifi.

Plai^TM Wifi has approximately 4-5 hours of battery life when idle. It has approximately 2-3 hours of battery life when in regular use.

Yes, you can by going into Plai^TM Wifi administration dashboard (10.10.10.254) > Wireless Settings > Security.

The sample AI Buddy demo apps are dependent on the dataset classified and trained on. Only a certain number of dog breed and flower types were classified and trained on, so your dog may have not been in that set of data. For the same reason, the rose was not one of the flower types in the dataset used for training to be recognized.

No, there are no APIs available at this time. We are exploring this option, but no announcements have been made at this time. 

There is a way to deploy and test out a pre-trained model on the phone (Android-only at this time) while leveraging the existing AI Buddy app framework.
